eMTB Competition

4 eMTB categories . Open eMTB Men, Open eMTB Women, Sport eMTB Men, and Sport eMTB Women.

Open eMTB categories will race the same course as the Expert categories.  Sport eMTB categories will race the same course as the Sport categories.

CES eDuro Series points will be awarded in each of the two rounds according to the established CES points table.  Any ties will be broken based on the standings at the final race.

eDuro Rules

1 – Bikes must be Class-1 eMTBs – pedal assisted (no throttle), less than 750W peak, maximum assisted speed limited to 20mph.

2 – No limit on battery size or technologies.

3 – Rider cannot carry spare batteries on their person or stash batteries on course.   Spare batteries can be carried on the bike, or swapped out at the main venue if needed.

The eMTB categories will run the course same as any other category.  Same practice, same pedal or lift transfers, and same race stages.  Just like every other aspect of enduro – the eMTB racers need to be self sufficient – dealing with mechanicals, managing their energy and fueling and hydration, and managing battery.  Whether you bring spare batteries – or have a plan for charging – this is on the racer to manage.  This includes charging the battery after practice day to be ready for race day — and planning for any 2-day races.

We are super stoked on the addition of eMTB categories to the CES – we love our eMTBs, and see this as a great addition to the sport.
