The California Enduro Series 2024 race season kicked off in the Sierra Nevada foothills this past weekend — May 18 — with the Georgetown Enduro, presented by MTB Experience and California Expeditions.
The event was staged out of the Georgetown (Rock Creek) OHV park. Riders took on five stages on the area’s hallmark raw, rocky and unpredictable terrain; depending on their category, riders tackled 22-26 miles of riding with 3,200-4,000 feet of elevation gain/loss over the course of the day. No shuttles … no lifts … it was a full-on powerfest through the long, hot, highly physical day.
Jake Keller landed the top step of the Pro Men’s podium, while Daisy James took it for Pro Women.
