Saturday, June 4, 2022

  • Packet Pickup: 7am – 10:30am on Old Forest Hill Road pullout just east of the OHV entrance.
  • Rider Meeting: No Rider Meeting, this email has the info you need.  TBF will be available at packet pickup to answer questions
  • Race: 8:00am – 2pm
  • BBQ and Beer Garden: Starting at noon
  • Awards: Post Race

The Race Book has all the event details you’ll need for the event weekend including location, weekend schedule, registration pickup details, course description, available accommodations, and other information.

Waiver – For those under 18, please print and complete the waiver and bring it with you to packet pickup – this will speed up packet pickup.

For those 18 and older, you completed the waiver electronically when registering for the race.

Course Map

All Categories are completing the course in order 

  • Stage 1 – Grizzly
  • Stage 2 – Culvert
  • Stage 3 – Stonewall/Rocky
  • Stage 4 – Eastside
Grizzly Trail Race Start
The race will start with Grizzly Trail – racers do not need to come to the Mammoth Bar Venue to start, go straight to Grizzly Trail. Google Maps Link to Grizzly Trailhead on Foresthill Road. Self-Shuttle or take the Race Shuttle from Raley’s parking lot ($10 round trip – see below instructions). 
 
Note – there is no parking at Grizzly Trailhead.

Transfers

The transfers are all clearly marked and you should have no issues finding your way.  

  • Transfer to Stage 1 – Grizzly – From Foresthill Road to Grizzly Trail start.  0.7 miles – 103 feet elevation gain
  • Transfer to Stage 2 – Culvert – ride from the finish of Grizzly to the race venue, venue up paved park road  to Stonewall Gate (right on Stonewall).  Cominute up the hill to the road at the top of Stonewall. Cross Old Foresthill Road onto Short Cut Trail.  Cross Foresthill Road to continue on Short Cut Trail.  Arrive at Fuel Break aid station. Up Fuel Break to Start of Stage 2.   4,2 miles – 1240 feet elevation gain.
  • Transfer to Stage 3 – Rocky/Stonewall – ride across Old Foresthill Road and enter Mammoth Bar OHV then SLOWLY ride down the paved park road .2 miles to aid and then left on Stonewall Trail. 0.9 mile – 191 feet elevation gain.
  • Transfer to Stage 4 – Eastside – from the venue up paved park road to  Old Foresthill Road – right on Old Forest Hill Road – 1 mile along Old Forest Hill Road to Castle Rock – then down the trail to Eastside.  4.9 miles – 1242 feet elevation gain. 

Please ride slowly inside the park and on park roads. Please use caution on Old Foresthill Road on Transfer to Stage 2 and Stage 3 and Stage 4.

Aid Stations

There will be 4 aid stations on course.  

  1. Mammoth Bar OHV race venue, 
  2. Stage 2 at Fuel Break, 
  3. Stage 3 at Stonewall
  4. Stage 4 at Eastside.

FOX Queen Stage – The racer in each category with the fastest time on Stage 1 – Grizzly – at Mammoth Bar Enduro will get 10 bonus points towards their overall ranking.

Stage Start Times  – The indicated times are the start times at the start of each stage, it is your responsibility to be at each race stage at the time indicated. At the top of the table you will find the estimated transfer time for each stage to help you plan your transfers. We also allocated 10 minutes between stages, beyond the transfer times, to allow you to manage repairs, hydrate and get some food. So you will have plenty of time to make the transfers between stages and enjoy the day and the race. 

Mandatory Time Check – these are time checks at the CES Timing Tent for us to download your stage times off your timing chip.  Failure to check there will be a 15sec penalty.
