COVID-19 & Our Events

Updated 8/7/20

The COVID-19 pandemic has, of course, affected our 2020 schedule. We appreciate your patience as we navigate this uncharted territory.

We’ve been staying in close touch with our race organizer partners and making backup plans in the event a race cannot run as scheduled.

Following is our most up-to-date information about the 2020 season.

Event updates

The Toro Enduro , presented by CCCX, has been rescheduled from May 23 to Sunday, September 20.

If you’ve already registered for this event, there’s no need to do anything; your entry will automatically roll over to the new date. If you’re not registered, and would like to race, sign up here.

The China Peak Enduro, presented by China Peak Ski Resort, kicked off our season on its original date of Saturday, June 27.

The Mt. Shasta Enduro, presented by Mt. Shasta Ski Park, ran as scheduled on Sunday, July 19. Originally planned as a two-day race, because of the pandemic this event was a one-day race instead, with Saturday being a practice day. Camping is included in the entry fee.

The Northstar Enduro, presented by Northstar California, scheduled for August 22-23 was unfortunately cancelled. Northstar fully refunded entry fees; if you registered for this event, you should have received an email from us about refunds.

The Mammoth Bar Enduro, presented by TBF Racing and The Hub Roseville, was originally rescheduled from June 13 to Saturday, August 29. However, it has since been postponed until 2021. An email is going out to registered racers.

Finally, the Ashland Mountain Challenge , presented by Ashland Mountain Adventures, is expected to wrap up our series as usual on Saturday, October 3.

COVID-19 protocol at the races

Naturally, we’ll be implementing special rules this season to keep our racers, organizers, and communities safe and healthy.

  • There will be no rider meetings; instead we will send out a comprehensive email the week before the event with all race details. Be sure to look that over carefully!
  • Face coverings (masks) will be required at packet pick up, at the awards ceremony (except on the podium), and post-race. 6-foot distancing will also be enforced.
  • Riders will be separated by 6’ hash marks at stage starts and hanging around at stage finishes will not be allowed.
  • Only those on the podium (top 5 for each category) should attend the awards ceremony.

Of course, these rules are subject to change based on future guidelines and regulations from government and race officials. We’ll be sure to keep you updated as necessary.

We appreciate your understanding and can’t wait to see you out at the races. Stay healthy and keep training!
