This weekend, we wrapped up the 2026 California Enduro Series—and with it, the 78th and final race in the history of CES.
It’s difficult to put into words what the last 14 years have meant to us.
When we started the California Enduro Series 14 years ago, we really didn’t know where it would take us. We simply wanted to create great races, bring riders together, and help build something that we thought could be special.
Looking back 78 races later, we are incredibly proud of what we were able to create together with all of you.
Today there are more race organizers, more events, and more opportunities to race throughout California. It has been amazing to watch the sport grow, and we are proud that CES was able to play a part in helping build that community.
But when we think back over these 14 years, it really isn’t the number of races or the results that we’ll remember most.
It’s the people.
We’ve watched young kids grow up racing CES. We’ve watched families spend their weekends together at the races. We’ve seen friendships form, riders progress from their first enduro to competing at the highest levels of the sport, and generations of racers become part of this community.
Since we announced that this would be the final season of CES, one of the most meaningful things for us has been hearing your stories about what CES has meant to you.
Each story has been different. Some of you talked about the friendships you made and the camaraderie you found at the races. Some talked about weekends spent with family and friends and the memories you created together. Others told us about the opportunities CES gave you—the first time you lined up for a race, the people you met, the places you traveled, or the spark that racing ignited and where it eventually took you.
Hearing those stories has meant so much to us. When you’re busy putting on races year after year, you don’t always realize the impact those weekends can have on people’s lives.
Along the way, many of you became much more than racers or people we saw a few weekends each year. You became our friends and, in many ways, our extended family.
That made this final race especially meaningful.
We were incredibly touched by how many people we hadn’t seen in years made it a priority to come back and race with us one last time. Seeing so many familiar faces—some we hadn’t seen in a very long time—reminded us just how many people have been part of this journey.
Thank you for coming back. It meant more to us than you probably realize.
And thank you to everyone who has been part of CES over these 14 years: the racers, families, volunteers, race organizers, venues, land managers, sponsors, timing crews, photographers, medical teams, friends, and everyone else who helped make these weekends happen.
There are far too many people to thank individually and far too many stories to tell.
Seventy-eight races. Fourteen years. Countless miles traveled, stages raced, bikes broken, podiums celebrated, friendships made, and memories we will carry with us for the rest of our lives.
We started the California Enduro Series, but all of you are what made it special.
We are incredibly proud of what we created together, and even more grateful for the people we met along the way.
